ANOTHER WORLD TODAY EPISODE #75-2

"But, now you want to desert me for... Jamie?" Morgan tsk-tsked. "Seriously, Lorna? Jamie Frame?"

"What's wrong with Jamie?" Lorna asked, no longer hesitating to sound defensive.

"Nothing. He's a nice enough, boring, old — "

"He's not that old!"

" — Old enough — guy. Look, don't get me wrong; I like Jamie. He seems to be a good father, a dutiful mama's boy, and he's a competent doctor — no me, of course, but then who is? On the other hand, he is totally and completely wrong for you."

"How do you figure?"

"He's old," Morgan repeated, in case she'd missed it the first time. "And boring."

"He looks at me," Lorna said softly. "Like he can't bear to let me out of his sight."

"Okay. So, he's old, boring and needy. When did that become your type?"

***

Morgan balks at letting Lorna off the hook, Donna proves her usefulness to Grant... to Marley's dismay, Alice attempts to bring Amanda back down to Earth, Cass makes a confession to Kevin, Jasmine upsets Lila's plans, while Lucas, Spencer and Carl take steps to protect their interests.

Oh lordy, if there's one character I wish had been forgotten, it's Morgan Winthrop. The guy should never have existed in the first place if the writers had remained true to the history of the show. It was so lame - Stacy and Cass had made it clear that they had no other family, and yet when Morgan comes to town, it's explained by Cass that he hadn't really meant DEAD, just that HE was dead to his mother because of what he'd done! So why did Stacy also refer to her mother as being dead? Didn't help that he was played as a grinning curly haired idiot. And to now throw him into the story with Jamie and Lorna? Almost as awful as the writing that killed the show in the first place for me. I hope he gives Lorna her divorce and disappears - QUICKLY!

I did the Morgan Winthrop roleplay along with Stacey, and I think he has a lot to offer the canvas. He is smart, quick, talented, handsome and I think that is a good background for him.

I wanted Morgan to team up with Lisa Grady and thought we were having that begin, but the person who did the roleplay abandoned it altogether. I want Morgan to be more of a good looking "badish" sort of guy. So, while I appreciate your passion on this, I have warmed up to Morgan, probably because I played him in the roleplay and so I feel a closer connection.

Then again, I was also Stacey and Derek and a new character. I doubt they will keep the storyline of Stacey's twins with two fathers, but I justify it as being a soap and anything can happen in a soap. :)
